What is Occultism?

Webster's Dictionary defines occultism as the belief in or study of the action or influence of supernatural or supernormal powers. This is brought up because the same definition is not necessarily applicable here.

As implied in the title of the blog, theosophical philosophies and systems are often used when explaining some of the concepts and theories for these particular subjects, and with that comes changes in the definition of certain words. In theosophy, if something is supernatural or supernormal, it doesn't exist because the very word implies it existing outside the bounds of cosmos and nature, something that even a deity isn't guilty of. This is why I bring it to everyone's attention now so as to avoid any confusion and prejudice that comes with seeing that word.

Another aspect to consider is that Theosophy is the synthesis of both science and religion, meaning that we are not just using unsounded speculation but actually analyzing the information contained therein. This allows for common ground for all religions and spiritual practices to meet and converse on. I am an Omnist which means I find truth in all religions, not just the ones I find convenient to what I think I know. So, if you have difficulty with opposing viewpoints and listening to those with them, this might not be the page or channel for you. We treat all with respect regardless of their religious or spiritual inclinations, with obvious exceptions, of course, simply meaning if you believe your religion places you higher than someone else simply because it is the one you choose to follow or that others are lower than you because they don't believe as you do, please save us both the time and don't bother me or anyone in my channel. Bigotry and hate will absolutely not be tolerated.

Motto
"There is no religion higher than truth"
